45 adults and 11 children affected after fire in Pavas

The fire that occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday in Libertad Uno de Pavas, affected 45 adults and 11 minors.

According to information from the Fire Department, the fire consumed a total of 460 square meters.

Seven firefighter units went to the area to handle the emergency and managed to save 660 square meters.

Despite the damage, there were no fatal victims.

Until January 8th, the institution registers 21 structural fires. The first fatality occurred on Sunday morning in El Roble, La Lucha de Alajuela. The fire consumed 100 square meters and a 25-year-old man died. The causes of both events are under investigation.
