June 2, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to a recent report from the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR), more than half of liberal professionals such as doctors, dentists, engineers and architects are not paying income taxes.

Federico Castro, Manager of Financial Management area of the CGR said improvements have been made in the collection of taxes, but the findings show that there is still much to be done, because there are too many limitations in technology, management systems and tax control.
