October 10, 2019 by Staff News Writer

As of this Thursday, October 10th, Avenida 6, from Calle 13 (Turrialba stop) to Calle 14 (Parque del Ministerio de Salud) will change its direction. This was reported by the Press Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT).

According to the MOPT, the measure was taken as part of the process of modernization of public transport and the rearrangement of capital roads announced days ago. The route was previously in the West-East direction and now it will be in the East-West direction, as indicated in the image shared by the institution.

This section of 6th Avenue as well as 3rd Avenue, from 5th Street (Morazán Park) to 4th Street (CR Post Office) and 2nd Street, from 9th Avenue south to 3rd Avenue (Post Office Building) from Costa Rica) will soon be exclusive bus routes,”

they added.

The entity also calls on drivers to circulate cautiously through the area in the presence of workers and machinery on the road. It also invites private vehicles to use transit options to avoid these routes.
