85 thousand residents from Desamparados won’t have water on Tuesday

February 12, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA) reported that 85 thousand residents from Desamparados won’t have water on February 13th, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The suspension of the drinking water service is due to preventive maintenance work by changing a hydraulic valve and washing La Pelota storage tank.

The places that will be affected are: San Miguel, La Capri, Los Guido, San Antonio, Fatima, Patarrá, Dos Cercas, Porvenir, Gravilias, downtown Desamparados, Metropolis, Colonia del Sur, San Jerónimo and Lotto.

The service will also be suspended in Monte Claro, La Florita, Fallas Street, Damas, La Constancia, Las Rotondas, Cucubres, Cartonera, El Diamante, Villanueva, El Cruce, La Guaria street, El Bambú street and surroundings.

The entity reported that, if possible, the service will be restored before the indicated time. If you live in the sectors that will be affected it is better that you only store water for basic needs.
