91 thousand residents of Alajuela will not have drinking water on Tuesday

March 18, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers ( AyA ) reported that it will suspend the drinking water service in several sectors of Alajuela, on March 20th, affecting 91 thousand people.

The suspension is due to maintenance work that will be done by the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) in the electricity network of El Cacique.

The well field that supplies El Pasito aqueduct will be out of operation and therefore it is estimated that the interruption will be between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The places where there will be no water are: Monserrat, Villa Bonita, San Antonio, El Roble, Montecillos, Barrio San José (partially), El Coyol (partially), El Coco and Rincón Herrera.
