Digital and physical certificates have the same validity

Since last week, the website of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal offers the option to request digital certificates for procedures.

The service allows the user to request certificates of birth, marital status and death certificates without going to the offices of the Tribunal and with the same validity as the physical document. With the change, the Court expects to issue about 90 thousand digital certificates every year.

The user will receive the digital certificate in their email along with a verification number and that institutions to check the validity of the document.

Each certificate costs ยข 1,575 and includes tax stamps. The service supports payments with debit or credit card Visa and Mastercard.
