New campaign aims to show the new face of Costa Rican tourism

November 7, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The objectives of “Nuestro Impulso” campaign, by the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels, are to create awareness of the impact of tourism on the national economy and the need to preserve it.

The idea is to create new and better channels of communication between the agents of the national tourism. For the Chamber, Costa Rica must wake up and learn about the progress, advantages and benefits of the tourism industry.

Gustavo Araya, president of the Chamber of Hotels, explained that the campaign focuses not only on economic contributions, but also in the social aspects such as the employment rates.

Among the proposals from the campaign’s creators are the building of a convention center, improvement in road safety infrastructure, and also a better management of the national parks and their biodiversity.
