Bees attack Legislative Assembly

November 17, 2016 by Staff News Writer

On Wednesday afternoon, firefighter units arrived to the Legislature to address an incident due to a bees attack in Castillo Azul, Presidency of the Congress.

Insects stung a man in his left eye, while working in the gardens of Castillo Azul, but the attack had no major consequences.

According to the victim, Geovanny Chinchilla, who works for a company that provides the service, the attack occurred when he started to hit one of the walls of the place.

It was at that time when about 100 bees came out.

However, Chinchilla is stable now and did not require medical attention.

Firefighters detected a hive beneath the floor of the building.

They recommended to not continue the work and fumigate with an insecticide to control the animals.
