Costa Rica was unanimously elected to the Vice-Presidency of the Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, which was held at the opening of the XV Assembly.

Costa Rican Ambassador to the Netherlands Sergio Ugalde will be in charge of this position, which also includes the General Coordination of The Hague Working Group, where actions are discussed and proposed for the strengthening and supervision of the Court.
