Solís: “the country has the resources to face Otto”

November 23, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Dealing with the emergency that will bring Hurricane Otto requires financial resources. However, the government declared that it was prepared to face the situation.

President of the Republic Luis Guillermo Solís did not talk about amounts, but he was emphatic that there are funds and they will be used when needed.

At the moment, all the resources needed are available to emergency institutions. All adequate, prevention measures have been taken,

stated Solís.

Costa Rica already made contacts with the United States and Colombia. They are willing to help the country as required. Chancellor Manuel González and the President himself have talked with the authorities of those nations.
