The train will continue to operate despite Hurricane Otto

November 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

INCOFER announced that, so far, the train will keep offering all its services during normal hours, but that they are alert to any eventuality.

We will have supervision on the railroad in places where the hurricane could affect the rail tracks,  such as Cartago. If that happens the service will be suspended,”

informed Maria Fernanda Arias from INCOFER.

The institution reported damages on the rail track used to transport cargo in the areas of Matina and Pacuare.

The official clarified that palliative measures are being taken, as heavy downpours that could cause more damage are expected in the next few hours.
