The Brazilian government declared a three-day mourning for the victims of the plane crash. Players from Brazilian Chapecoense football team died before landing in the Colombian city of Medellin.

President Temer declared on his Twitter account that the government had mobilized aeronautics, as well as the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the families of the victims.

The government will do as much as it can to ease the pain of friends and family of the sports and the national journalism,

tweeted the president, referring to reporters who accompanied the team. The players were getting ready to play against Atlético Nacional team in the Copa Sudamericana.
