Post offices are working a lot! They receive from 15,000 to 20,000 packages every day

December 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Correos de Costa Rica receives from 15,000 to 20,000 packages from online shopping every day.

Erick Jiménez, a Correos de Costa Rica spokesman, said that Hurricane Otto didn’t prevent people from buying during Black Friday and these packages have been arriving in large numbers.

In the case of Box Correos service, packages can be tracked and they have a guaranteed space in airlines, so users do not wait so long for their products. However, if consumers buy Chinese proucts, they have to wait a little longer since they enter the country as ordinary couriers. Chinese products travel as any regular letter.

However, people don’t mind that and the demand is so high that they had to extend the employees’ shifts.

If you buy products this Christmas, to receive them on time will depend on the Post office you hire. If you process your purchase through Box Correos, you can receive the packages before Christmas.

The company has 112 facilities around the country and it will be open until December 23th, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
