Young people from scientific schools may opt for a scholarship

December 12, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The US Embassy signed an agreement with Foundation Crusa and AFS to open accept five students from scientific schools to study abroad for a year.

The initiative dates back to 2012, when the embassy began raising funds to help students with limited financial resources, who stand out for their academic excellence and leadership skills. So far there have been 15 beneficiaries.

Each scholarship is worth $ 15,000 and it includes transport, accommodation, food and stipend for personal expenses for one academic year.

AFS is responsible for selecting scholarship recipients, preparing the program and providing support to students while they are in the United States.
