“El Coco Vive” will arrive at Amor de Temporada Park

January 16, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The first edition of “El Coco Vive” festival will arrive at Amor de Temporada Park, Guanacaste, from January 18th to 22nd.

It will feature cultural and sports activities which are intended to show the “true face” of the community, whose image was affected by criminal episodes, such as the death of Alejo Leiva last March, which brought the issue of insecurity to the spotlight.

This festival is organized by the Municipality of Carrillo. Francina Uribe, deputy mayor, commented that they had been thinking about this project for several years.

It is done with the support of a private company … We expect that about 2 thousand people will arrive during the 5 days of the festival,”

said Uribe.

Some of the most important activities to be held are Zumba classes, parade bands, cimarronas, national cinema night, choreographic groups, yoga, among others.
