Low temperatures freeze everything in San Juan de Chicuá

January 24, 2017 by Staff News Writer

When Michael Garita opened the pipe to give water to his cow on Monday morning, there was not a drop of water left… It was not a suspension of the service or a broken pipe. The water did not come out because the pipe was frozen. Even the water from the bucket was frozen, aswell as the grass, the plants… Everything!

This resident of San Juan de Chicuá, in Cartago, did not waste time and documented everything in curious photographs and videos.

I took the pictures at 6:00 a.m. It’s not the first time, but it’s quite curious. The pipe stopped working because it froze and when I went to check if the cow had water, I came across the surprise that it had also frozen. For us, these are normal temperatures…”

said Garita.

Since the beginning of the year, the cold and the frost have accompanied the residents of San Juan de Chicuá during the early hours leaving behind a spectacular scenery.
