Cyclists demonstrated in front of the Legislative Assembly

February 3, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Cyclists-demonstration

A group of cyclists, who demanded more security measures, lay down in front of the Legislative Assembly in memory of the victims who died hit by a speeding driver last Sunday in Curridabat.

They finished the demonstration in front of the Congress in which they delivered 10 petitions to the legislators and they placed a white bicycle in front of the Blue Castle.

In the activity, legislator Ottón Solís said that there is a huge disadvantage for the riders who are weaker than drivers and he agreed to make changes to the legislation.

Ericka Parra Camacho, Lenin Ortiz’ wife, one of the victims who died in the attack in Curridabat, expressed her gratitude for the support given by the Costa Ricans and she hopes the demonstration can raise awareness.
