The Fire Department is always assisting animals!

The Fire Department daily assist 22 emergencies related to snakes, dogs, cats, sloths and even crocodiles in the national territory.

In fact, during the first 37 days of 2017, the rescue units have already assisted 801 emergencies related to animals. The most common one is the appearance of snakes.

In addition, in the first weeks of the year, the emergencies were related to bulls, cows, raccoons, deer and armadillos.

Every year, firefighters receive constant training from the National Fire Academy, the National University, the Herpetological Shelter, the Clodomiro Picado Institute to manage animals and provide them better care,

informed the Fire Department.

The entity noted that during the 2016, statistics for the care of incidents with animals closed in 8003 cases.
