The United States requested the extradition of a Costa Rican criminal

The United States authorities requested the extradition of a Costa Rican surnamed Rivera Blandón, who was arrested the on February 14th in Colombia.

Wálter Espinoza, director of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) said that this man is linked to crimes of international drug trafficking.

Colombian authorities will evaluate the US petition, if accepted, he will be transferred to be judged there,

informed the official.
