Canadian man killed while photographing sunrise in Limón

March 6, 2017 by Staff News Writer

A Canadian man named Mccaklum died early on Sunday after being wounded with a knife in Puerto Viejo de Limón.

The man came to the country with a group of tourists on February 19th and they were enjoying the Caribbean beaches. On Sunday, he got up early to photograph the sunrise on the beach where he was presumably injured to take his belongings.

Mccaklum was stripped of his camera and other belongings and left lying in the street with a wound in the abdomen.

The Canadian, 58, was a photographer and he had taken several pictures during the trip.

Judicial agents transferred the body to the Judicial Morgue to perform an autopsy, and the pertinent investigations are carried out to find the criminal responsible for the photographer’s death.
