Bruce McCallum Memorial Facebook page paid tribute to the Canadian photographer who was murdered in Puerto Limón.
We went to the beach to mourn the loss of professor, traveler and photographer Bruce McCallum. He was killed a few days ago. Today, we joined to photograph the sunrise that Bruce couldn’t. We have paid tribute to Bruce and expressed our sympathy to his family, friends and students, we celebrate life and send a message of peace. We want to show that we are an united, peaceful community and that we hate this violent act that claimed Bruce’s life. May peace be with you, Bruce!

McCallum was killed after being shot in the Caribbean.
He entered the country on February 19th with a group of tourists. On March 5th, he got up early to photograph the sunrise on the beach, he was attacked to allegedly steal his belongings.
