ARESEP calls for Public Consultation on power rate adjustment

March 14, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) announced that it will hold a public consultation to apply an increase in the cost of electricity for the second quarter of this year.

According to a statement published in various media, this is the result of variations in the cost of fuel (CVC) used in the generation of heat for domestic consumption. This applies both to the generation service of ICE and to all distribution companies.

The oppositions to this measure must be lawfully supported, duly signed and contain the exact address, email or fax number.

In the event that the opposition is filed by natural person, it must have a photocopy of the identity card; while if it is filed by legal persons, it must include a certification of their legal status.

It is important to point out that the deadline for submitting the oppositions is March 16th at 4:00 p.m.

They can be presented in the offices of ARESEP on the building of Turrubares in Multipark Offices of GuachipelĂn, via fax at 2215 6002 or to the email consejero@aresep.go.cr.
