A 5.5-degree earthquake was felt in Tamarindo

A strong earthquake of 5.5 degrees on the Richter scale was felt by residents of Tamarindo, Guanacaste, on March 17th.

The quake was reported 70 kilometers west from Tamarindo beach at 4:32 am, according to data provided by the National Seismological Network (RSN).

According to reports from neighbors, the tremor was quite strong.
