Wálter Guzmán will pay 25,590,192.67 colones to the State

The Deputy Prosecutor for Economic, Tax, Customs and Intellectual Property Offenses succeeded at his goal: Wálter Guzmán Calderón, owner of Tractor Parts and Accessories and Agricultural Machinery SA company will pay 25,590,192.67 colones to the State.

This is a compensation for social damage caused by evasion of customs duties. The payment was made by Guzmán on March 23th.

The same accused, prior to the complaint, had paid¢ 80,968,873.69 colones to the Tax Administration Office.

The investigation against Guzman started after the accused used his company to enter merchandise to the country without declaring the due customs importing document.
