April 7, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Maundy Thursday, there will be a reversible lane on Route 27 towards the Pacific. This measure aims to facilitate the massive departure of tourists to the coast towards Guanacaste and Puntarenas.

On that day, the dynamic will be applied between Ciudad Colón and Pozón. Cars will be able to circulate in all lanes heading the Pacific, detailed Silvia Jiménez, Technical Secretary of the National Council of Concessions.

This measure will be applied from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, the reversible lane will be effective from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.

On Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, the reversible lane will favor those returning to the Central Valley. Therefore, both lanes will be used from Pozón/ Ciudad Colón to San José.

In both cases, the schedule will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, which means that at 1:00 pm the passage to the Pacific will be closed and vehicles travelling to San José will use this road from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. At 8:00 pm, transit to the Pacific will be allowed again.
