OIJ to investigate newborn’s death in Heredia

The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) will investigate the death of a newborn reported on Wednesday morning in Heredia.

The incident was reported around 7:00 a.m. in Santo Domingo and the preliminary reports indicate that it is a natural death during a childbirth in a house.

The baby’s mother, who is allegedly a minor, was taken to the medical center where she is cared for.
