No vehicular restriction for May Day

April 26, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Monday, May 1st, vehicles with plates that end in one or two can move freely in San José.

On the occasion of International Labor Day, the restriction will not apply.

The Director of the Traffic Police, Commissioner Mario Calderón, indicated that on this date the number of workers and students entering the capital is greatly reduced, so the measure is not necessary.

Likewise, the staff dedicates to the surveillance of multiple activities that take place that day in the capital. The officers will regulate the transit taking into account that usually, marches are held in the Second Avenue that day.

In addition, officers must coordinate transit in the vicinity of the Legislative Assembly, where they will elect the Legislative Directory for the last year of the legislature during this administration.
