Beware! Street closures and road control are coming

The election of the new Legislative Governing Body on May 1st and president Solís’ annual report in the Legislative Assembly, scheduled for May 2nd, will involve control work.

According to Commissioner Mario Calderón, Director of the Traffic Police, the institution will collaborate with the Public Force from Sunday night, for the placement of metal fences in some streets. This as part of the security controls followed in these typical activities of May 1st, International Labor Day.

Traffic officers will remain on Sunday night and Monday morning in the area.

As of May 1, the road will be closed by the Northeast corner of the Legislative Assembly and at noon the entire perimeter around the legislative building will be closed.

In addition, on May 2nd, the President will present his annual report in the Legislative Assembly. As consequence, surveillance and controls will start at 6 am.

At noon, roads surrounding the National Park will be closed. This is because the President is expected to arrive at 3 pm in the Legislative Assembly.
