Universities prepare for Discovery project arrival

May 4, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The arrival of the project Discovery to the country generated great expectation, mainly by the amount of jobs that would be created.

Even private universities decided to bet on the reinforcement of their hotel, gastronomy and tourism careers to attract a greater number of students.

According to Benito Avilés, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality of Universidad Latina, this type of project represents a responsibility for universities to train students who respond adequately to these initiatives.

The company said that it would create about 2,000 jobs during construction and about 4,000 direct and indirect jobs during its operation.
