May 22, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The woman named Hernández who was allegedly run over on Sunday by the head of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) in Liberia remains in stable condition, in the Mexico Hospital.

Susana Sarabia, from the Press Department of the medical center, reported that the woman is conscious; with minor injuries and that they are performing some tests.

The 37-year-old victim is in the emergency department.

The accident happened after 7:30 pm in Circunvalación, when the man, named Solano Diaz, hit the woman with his vehicle, while she walked by the place. The subject fled and later turned himself in in the delegation of Public Force in Santa Ana.

The prosecution confirmed to the press that the two breathalyzer tests performed on Solano resulted in higher-than-acceptable levels of alcohol in the bloodstream.

Wálter Espinoz, said that Solano will remain in custody until the authorities decide otherwise.
