900 cyclists participated in Ecocarrera Recreativa Río Loro

On Sunday morning, 900 cyclists joined the recreational eco-race of Río Loro in Cartago.

The free race is part of the activities organized under the Vive Cartago program, promoted by the municipality of La Vieja Metrópoli and the Ministry of Health, aiming to promote spaces free of cigarette smoke.

The classic of cycling comprised two routes of 25 and 15 kilometers.

Rolando Rodríguez, mayor of Cartago, commented that the race was widely accepted,

registration quotas were filled in the first two days, which shows that we have generated positive impact on the population, regarding the practice of sports to maintain a healthy life.”

The activity began at 9:00 a.m. and started in the Municipal Environmental Park Río Loro.
