June 14, 2017 by Staff News Writer

These were the precautionary measures that were issued to Jiménez by the Criminal Court of Treasury of the Second Judicial Circuit.

The Public Ministry maintains cases against Jiménez for the alleged crimes of irregular appointment, abuse of authority, influence against the Public Treasury and illegal recognition of labor benefits.

He is also accused of two sexual assaults against a female civil servant. Jiménez was arrested on Tuesday by the judicial authorities. However, no pretrial arrest was requested as a precautionary measure.

The Office of the Attorney General raided the mayor’s office and the offices of Proveeduría, Human Resources, Audit, Secretariat of the Mayor’s Office, Land Maritime, Legal and Municipal Engineering Departments.

In addition, four other people are being investigated for crimes of legislation or administration for their own benefit and influence against the Public Treasury. Three of them are city hall officials.
