Dutch man found dead in marijuana lab

June 23, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Thursday afternoon, an emergency call alerted about an alleged clandestine laboratory with a deceased person. The incident happened in Pozos de Santa Ana, 300 meters west of Banco Davivienda.

According to Carlos Hidalgo, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security, they received information from the Red Cross.

Apparently, there was a man of about 36 years old with no vital signs. When arriving, there was indeed a deceased Dutchman and doses of marijuana, popularly known as puchos. The preliminary studies by the Red Cross show that the subject might have died of an overdose,”

said Hidalgo, who also noted that the officers, in supervising the site,

located two rooms near the body, with 40 marijuana plants, a kind of laboratory.”
