Are you in Cartago with no holiday plans?

If you are a neighbor of the Old Town and still have no plans for this last week of the mid-year vacation, pay attention because the municipality prepares a series of activities designed for the whole family.

From July 9th to July 16th, the Vive Cartago program, which is being developed jointly with the Ministry of Health and aims to avoid smoking in the population, will have a series of activities in Plaza Mayor, Such as Go Kart, Canopy, mechanical games, inflatables and traditional games.

Mayor Rolando Rodríguez commented that the idea is for Costa Rican families to spend time together in this half-year holiday period,

the goal is to encourage entertainment through sports and also with educational activities,”

explained Rodríguez.

Some of the programmed activities are in the Municipal Animal Education Center (CMECA), which will hold family workshops: on July 11th there will be workshop on the new law against animal abuse, and on July 13th the training “How to avoid emergencies at home with pets?” All workshops will be taught from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00.

On the other hand, in the Municipal Environmental Park Río Loro, the workshops “Orchids of Costa Rica” will be held on July 12th at 9:30 am. Bird watching will also be held that day at 7:30 a.m. And “Home Ecology” workshop is to be held on July 14th at 9:30 a.m.

There will be a concert with the Jivenil Symphony Orchestra of SINEM at 7:00 pm on July 14th in Anfiteatro de Cartago.
