Ministry of Finance warns of attempted impersonation

July 14, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Finance warned on Thursday of an attempted impersonation: unidentified people request personal information from taxpayers through the “investigacionestributarias2017@gmail.com” email, which is not an official account of the entity.

The Ministry insisted that it does not request information from taxpayers through email accounts that are not under the @hacienda.go.cr domain.

Similarly, each unit of the entity has identified personnel that perform the requirements in an official way.

In case of receiving emails that do not come from official accounts of the Ministry of Finance, report it to contraloria@hacienda.go.cr or call 2539-4220.
