This Sunday neighbors of the South Caribbean organized a “cleteada” to seek support for the construction of a cycle path that will extend from Hone Creek to Manzanillo.

The communal movement aims to obtain the support of the Municipality of Talamanca and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) for the work, which they call “ciclovida”.

The activity gathered almost 200 people that sought the participation of more neighbors and signatures to support the project.

A public opinion poll was also released to gather information to identify infrastructure design.

Bicycles are the main means of transport in the area, in addition to being friendly with the environment.

Neighbors plan to hold a festival at the end of September to emphasize the importance of cycling.
