Volunteers worked together to clean María Aguilar River

On Saturday morning, volunteers from different groups, together with officials of the Municipality of San José worked to clean the river bed and the surroundings of the Maria Aguilar River the northern sector of the Park of Peace.

The initiative called “Manos Unidas por María Aguilar” is led by the non-profit Organization, Ecology Project International, the Municipality of San José, the Local Committee of the María Aguilar Interurban Biological Corridor, and the National Institute of Housing and Urbanism.

It is carried out with the aim of inviting young people and people from the communities around the site to join efforts in cleaning the river in the Peace Park.

The activity was carried out in the northern sector of the Peace Park, specifically at the point located on the eastern corner of the Seminary College, 200 meters to the south.
