Program seeks to promote mental and physical health in Santa Ana

In order to promote mental health, physical activity and healthy lifestyles, the Santa Ana Health Area has established the Salud al Máximo program, which provides comprehensive care to residents of the canton and surrounding areas.

Now they will open a new stage on September 1st and are currently in the search of people who want to implement changes in their routines, to enjoy better health.

Pablo Monge, social promoter of the area, explained that the idea is to motivate and guide the residents of the canton and surrounding areas, such as Escazú, for example, aged 20 to 65, to be part of the group and learn to how to implement healthy habits.

People who are part of the project must participate in at least 8 of the 10 sessions that comprise it. Professionals in nutrition, physical education, psychology, social work and dentistry are part of the initiative.

Since 2012 and to date, more than 500 people have been part of the program, according to Monge.

This new activity is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on September 1st in the Municipal Gymnasium.
