Third victim of the brutal crime of Laguna de Zarcero died

The third victim of the brutal attack in Laguna de Zarcero on August 5th died on Monday afternoon. Gustavo Durán Rojas was hospitalized at Hospital México. He was a painter and a farmer known as “Pofis”.

He passed away 23 day after the attack.

On the day of the incident, a Nicaraguan man identified as Montenegro García attacked both Durán and the 32-year-old businessman Roberto Rodríguez and his mother, Mrs. Gladis Chávez, 64, who had also died after the attack.

Hours after the attack, the murderer was arrested in Boca Tapada de San Carlos when he tried to cross the border to reach his homeland.
