12 poisoned dogs found in Territory of Zaguates

September 17, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Alvaro Saumet, founder of Territory of Zaguates, woke up on Sunday with the sad news that a dozen dogs were poisoned.

According to Saumet, the lifeless dogs were in one place, about 300 meters from the main entrance of the shelter. One more was found having convulsions, however, thanks to rapid intervention he managed to survive.

The dogs were all in the same area, it had to be at dawn. We have no idea who could have done it, they were not on the fringe, but they were in the main corral in the center of the farm,”

said Saumet.

The shelter has security cameras, however they are located at the entrance, so they don’t have any kind of suspect.

Saumet also acknowledged that it is not the first time this happens, but other times this has occurred out of property and on a smaller scale.

One day I was going to take the dogs for a walk and we found some pieces of poisoned pepperoni, but nothing happened because we found them,”

explained Saumet.

The founder indicated that for the moment they have not submitted a complaint about this situation, since they have no evidence, so they believe the case will not prosper.
