December 1, 2017 by Staff News Writer

This Saturday the province of Alajuela will be filled with music and Christmas spirit as the Philharmonic Orchestra will delight people with their music starting at 6:30 pm at the Juan Santamaría Park.

The province will welcome Christmas with the lighting of the tree and the concert that is expected to be extended for two hours, and which will be directed by the musician of the area, Marvin Araya.

The musicians will be, specifically, south of the esplanade of the park, on a platform of 18 meters long by 12 meters wide and in which 72 musicians will perform songs with the best of this year.

In order to ensure the safety of the attendees, the local government organized a security operation involving 30 officers from the Municipal Police, Public Force, Red Cross and Firefighters.

In addition, it is expected that the Traffic Police perform an operation in the vicinity from late afternoon with partial closures. After 5:00 pm there will be a total closure on the south and southwest sides.
