Canadian member of “Ángeles del Infierno” was deported

January 8, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A Canadian member of the gang “Ángeles del Infierno” (“Hell’s Angels”) tried to enter Costa Rica on January 5th, according to the Directorate General of Migration and Immigration. However, the subject was rejected on the same flight that arrived in the country from Canada, at the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Guanacaste.

“Ángeles del Infierno” is a motorized club of American origin, which is considered a criminal organization by the Department of Justice of the United States. Migration told the press that

he was banned because of the background information, since it is linked to drugs and weapons in Canada and the United States.”

In addition, the police also arrested a Nicaraguan named López Ríos, who was wanted by the Costa Rican justice system since 2015 for assault with a weapon. López tried to enter the country through the border post with Nicaragua, in Peñas Blancas, when he was held by Migración. He was transferred to the offices of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) in Liberia.
