Neighbors of Cartago denounce aggression to dog

March 20, 2018 by Staff News Writer

At 2:00 am this Monday, the San Francisco de los Diques neighborhood in Cartago was filled with howls of pain from a small dog. The animal had been around the place for several days, but no one claims to be its owner.
After several minutes of searching in a coffee plantation, the neighbors found the animal quite wounded by a dagger, mainly on one of its legs as well as on its backside.

The dog is about 12 years old and complained of pain. It is still unknown who attacked her or if she was a victim of rape. Neighbors say they did not see any suspicious person in the place.

The dog had to be sent to a veterinarian in Heredia shortly after 10:00 am where they try to stabilize her condition.

If you want to help in the recovery of this little lady you can call 8382-5163 and ask for Karin Anne, who is taking care of her.
