Authorities deport suspects of arson

April 4, 2018 by Staff News Writer

On Monday at 4:00 p.m., a fire was reported in Gloria de Juan Viñas de Jiménez de Cartago. The flames consumed 20 hectares of sugarcane in the area. Fortunately, there were no injured.

Two Nicaraguan men with an irregular situation in the country were arrested as suspects. They were sent to the prosecution to decide their status in the country. The authorities ordered their expulsion as soon as possible.

One of the two foreigners had already received the same order to leave the country a month ago, but he returned and the mandatory exit was ordered.
