The TSE received thank-you flowers after elections

Costa Rican citizens left flowers and thank-you messages in the Electoral Freedom Square of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, after the process that carried out during the presidential campaign that ended last Sunday after the second electoral round.

This is an initiative of the Costa Rica Coalition movement, which through its Facebook page encouraged citizens to thank the country’s electoral body.

As Costa Ricans, we have to be proud. Our democracy continues to be an example throughout the world. Let’s take a flower to the TSE as a tribute to democracy and this electoral process!”

wrote the Coalition on social networks.

“Thanks for the incredible work,” says one of the messages, accompanied by crayons, the symbol of national elections. Another sign says “Our bullets”, also accompanied by drawn crayons. Someone even left a box of crayons on the site.

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal was attacked in recent days after a video showing 50 ballots that were forgotten in a classroom at a school in Tacares, Greece was released. On Wednesday, it was determined that there was nothing fraudulent and it was an oversight of those in charge of that board.
