Police caught Cameroonian linked to drugs

April 26, 2018 by Staff News Writer

There are more than 10,500 kilometers between Costa Rica and Cameroon. However, that does not prevent some citizens of the African country from coming here and part-take in drug consumption and other illicit activities.

On Tuesday, a Cameroonian named Silver was found consuming drugs between Avenidas 5 and 7 on Calle 12 in San José.

By virtue of his irregular migratory status, the subject was referred to the General Directorate of Migration and Immigration (DGME) for the respective procedure of deportation.

Locating this foreigner was the result of a series of actions carried out by the municipal police in the points of most drug use in the capital.

In another case developed hours later, a Colombian with irregular immigration status was surprised by the municipal authorities in a spot used for the sale and consumption of drugs.

Similarly, he was sent to the DGME to address the situation.
