International drug group complicit with police and bank officials

Judicial authorities and public security police reported on Tuesday that 18 raids in Limón had the goal of breaking up an international narcotics operation between Costa Rica, Belgium and Colombia. This group had the assistance of banking officials and two police officers with the Fuerza Publica. According to officials, marijuana and cocaine was moved by fishing boats and laundered money through the Banco de Costa Rica.
