Red Cross is not asking for donations

July 15, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Red Cross clarified it is not requesting the collaboration of volunteers to approach flooded areas, donate food, or provide financial assistance.

The operational team of the Red Cross is working since July 13th to assist the people whose homes were flooded by the rains, in several areas of Limón and Cartago. They have also worked to help more than 800 people who were trapped in Cerro Zurquí while they were traveling along Route 32.

Faced with this situation, the institution made a call for the population to be attentive and avoid both scammers and risky situations.
