RECOPE: there will be no fuel shortage despite the strike

September 6, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Costa Rican Petroleum Refinery (RECOPE) said that fuel will not be lacking despite the strike call made by the unions. According to the entity, they have already activated the protocols for contingency situations to guarantee the supply of fuels throughout the country.

RECOPE also reported that it is expanding the sales schedule this Saturday and Sunday at the distribution centers, so that all stations can supply and meet the demand normally.

The institution is exhorting the population to remain calm and not store fuels in containers in their homes or businesses, since this risks everyone’s safety.
