A vehicle ran over protesters in Cañas

September 11, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A vehicle ran over several demonstrators on the bridge over Cañas River. The incident occurred at 11:30 on Tuesday morning and was recorded in a video.

The images show a white pick-up truck whose driver ignored the closure of the road and rammed some people. Fortunately, they only suffered minor injuries. Apparently, those affected would be ICE and AyA officials.

The car moved among the protesters and even increased the speed and fled.

According to Traffic Police of the area, witnesses registered the plate and indicated and will file a complaint. Even a Transit patrol went after the truck.
